Blue or red?

The simple rule is this: look at the colour in your expansion tank, or at what the manual specifies. If it is blue or green, your product is the blue one. If it is pink or red, your product is the red one.

By brand

Blue: Honda, Acura, Subaru, Nissan, Infiniti, Mitsubishi, Suzuki, Mazda, Hyundai, Kia, Isuzu, Daihatsu.

Red: Toyota, Lexus, Scion.

This is a general orientation. Always verify in the manual, because the same brand can carry different specifications across markets and generations.

If you need pink but already have the blue

Toyota, Scion and Lexus appear directly on the blue product's data sheet, so after a complete flush its use is valid by specification.

What we do not recommend is adding blue to a pink system as a top-up. It is not a disaster, but two products end up mixed in the system and the colour stops meaning anything.

If it is not urgent, wait for the red.

Frequently asked questions

Colour is only dye, so why does it matter?
For the chemistry, it genuinely does not. But colour tells you what is in the system, and that information is needed later by a mechanic, a buyer and by you.
