Isuzu, Daihatsu, Daewoo and other Asian brands
Valvoline's data sheet names Isuzu, Daihatsu and Dae Woo separately. The manufacturer recommends the product broadly for all late-model Asian vehicles requiring a blue or green HOAT chemistry.

How to check whether it suits your car
Three questions, all answered in your manual:
- Which colour is specified for the factory fluid, blue or green?
- Does it state that the fluid must be silicate-free?
- Is JIS K 2234 or ASTM D3306 referenced?
If all three answers are yes, this product is in the right family. If the manual calls for pink or orange, it is not for you.
A note on diesel engines
Some heavy-duty Isuzu diesel engines, particularly wet-liner designs, require additional cavitation protection through SCA additives or a nitrited formulation. Zerex Asian Blue is nitrite-free and is intended for passenger cars and light diesel systems.
If your manual mentions wet-liner cavitation protection, check with us before ordering. We would rather not sell to you than sell you the wrong fluid.
