Antifreeze for Nissan

Nissan's blue Long Life Coolant is one of the most common factory fluids in the Japanese and US Nissans that reach Georgia. Zerex Asian Blue belongs to the same family, a blue, silicate-free, phosphated HOAT, and Nissan and Infiniti are named directly on the manufacturer's data sheet.

On CVT Nissans, cooling matters twice over

Many Nissans, among them the Qashqai, X-Trail, Rogue, Altima and Sentra, use a CVT whose cooler is often built into the radiator as a heat exchanger. That means the condition of the engine cooling system directly affects CVT temperature.

Contaminated or exhausted coolant therefore damages two things at once. And a CVT rebuild is one of the more expensive jobs on the Georgian market.

Electric and e-POWER models

The Nissan Leaf and the e-POWER models have a separate cooling circuit for the power electronics, meaning the inverter, the PDM and the motor, which also runs on coolant.

Cleanliness there is critical, because the passages are narrow and deposits directly reduce heat transfer. Before filling, check your specific model's manual and see which specification is listed for that circuit. Some electric vehicles call for a different, dedicated fluid.

Frequently asked questions

My Nissan has green coolant. Should I switch to blue?
Nissan's blue LLC is the newer, longer-life specification. Switching after a complete flush is normal practice. The key point is not to mix them.
