We stock Valvoline Zerex in four versions. For Asian cars Zerex Asian comes in three colours, all silicate-free, and the choice is decided by the colour of the fluid already in your expansion tank. For Tesla and European cars we carry Zerex G48.

2-EHA-free
2-EHA is a plasticiser that softens gaskets and plastics. It is common in cheap “universal” fluids.
Zero aluminium loss
Aluminium weight loss in the ASTM D1384 test is 0 mg where the limit allows 30. For boxer and all-aluminium engines this is the number that counts.

For Tesla owners
Tesla coolant, Zerex G48
Every Tesla, the 3, Y, S and X, needs a G-48 type ethylene glycol coolant, phosphate-free. Valvoline's official sheet lists Zerex G48 as meeting the Tesla specification. In Europe the same type is sold as OEM Advanced 48, or OE48. Ours is a concentrate, which you mix 50/50 with distilled water for a Tesla.

The 33 per cent row is not on the manufacturer's chart and comes from the general ethylene glycol curve. Every other row is from the official data sheet. Below 40 per cent the inhibitor concentration also drops, so 33 per cent is for mild winters only.
