The Harrier is a Japanese-market model that was sold for years in Europe and the US as the Lexus RX. For the cooling system that means the same thing: pink factory fluid and Valvoline Zerex Asian Red.

The Harrier Hybrid and the inverter
The Harrier Hybrid, like the RX 400h and RX 450h, has a separate inverter cooling circuit with its own electric pump. This is the system nobody touches for a decade.
The passages in that heat exchanger are narrow and do not forgive deposits. That is exactly why a silicate-free fluid matters: Valvoline Zerex Asian Red measures under 10 ppm silicon where the JIS limit allows 250.
High mileage and the age of the hoses
Most Harriers in Georgia are over ten years old by now. At that age, filling in fresh coolant is only half the job: the hoses, the thermostat and the cap on the expansion tank all age at the same time.
The cap matters especially, because it holds the pressure the 128 °C boiling figure is calculated for. A weak cap throws that margin away.
